Drummer, Drum Recording engineer
I'm George Psychogyios, a drummer/sound engineer based in Greece. I've been playing the drums professionally from an early age and have 15+ years of experience performing and recording with bands and solo artists in Greece and the UK. I've got a diploma in sound engineering and have worked in hundreds of live shows as production crew. Living in London for 5 consecutive years gave me the opportunity to perform in many important grassroots venues and festivals like The Great Escape. During my time there I worked as production & technical crew for The Joint Rehearsal Studios and The Royal Albert Hall. In the past I've been part of Illusion and The Magic Lotus, with whom we had a self-released LP in Greece and various singles released by the Animal Farm Music in the UK. I have also performed and worked with artists like Vassilikos, Spiros Grammenos, Orestis Ntantos etc.
Remote Recording/Session work
In response to changes within the music industry, I’ve recently built my own drum recording studio where I reside. Here I’m able to offer my services with flexibility to producers/artists with budget and time restrictions. Remote recording opens the opportunity to add real drums on songs where in other cases the drum track would have just been programmed or looped. The studio has been acoustically treated at the highest standards by GIK Acoustics and the whole space has been built and calibrated around the idea of recording drums and making them sound their best.
